The park was designed by Robert Moses, who also designed Central Park in New York City, and was developed so that big city dwellers could get away from it all. Flagler Sand Pattern #4

This photograph was taken in Flagler Beach, Florida. The sand there has unique color qualities due to the crushed shells and minerals within. On this particular day, a sand bar was created during low tide. As the tide began coming back in and water began flowing slowly over the sand bar, these amazing patterns began forming. I was thrilled by what I was seeing. It was only a few minutes, however, before more water rushed in and covered the sand bar, washing away the patterns.
